The highly-trained and highly-skilled assassins of the animal kingdom are particularly abundant on the African continent. Here, they have evolved and adapted to thrive in a brutally competitive environment, and have morphed into terrifying apex predators, ruling their realms with excessive force and violence.

Over the centuries, a variety of animals on land and sea have evolved complex weapons to arm them in the battle for survival. In each episode stunning sequences and high speed cameras illustrate how these weapons are used by a variety of species in different situations.

From the microscopic to the massive, all the predators featured are competing in the most challenging of environments. They often have to take on prey which can easily kill them if their attack is repelled. Each episode has a different theme and an impressive line-up of top predators including the Great white shark, crocodiles, lions, cheetahs, leopards and snakes.
