Tale of a Forest is a film for the whole family about the unique Finnish forest and its colourful and diverse life.

Followed by Tale of a Lake (2016) and Tale of the Sleeping Giants (2021), Tale of a Forest is a celebratory event, bringing the unique Finnish forest and its diverse ecosystem to the center of attention.

As with all of this trilogy, the main characters featured on screen are the various inhabitants of the forest: the bears and the elk, the snakes and the owls, the ants, the frogs and the flying squirrels, the ancient soul birds, the Lapland Owl and the Siberian Jay - many of whom are rare species that can only be seen in this region of the world.

Watching Tale of a Forest is probably the closest viewers can get to exploring this remarkable rural area firsthand - a guided tour given by the trustworthy narration of Timo-Pekka Luoma and the team behind the Tale of... films and the spectacular Nature Symphony (2019).
