Africa's Deadliest S5

PLAY

This series examines the complex hunting strategies and deadly tactics used by a variety of iconic African predators. In each episode high-speed cameras record stunning sequences of life and death in three different environments.

Across the untamed plains of the African continent live some of the world’s most efficient, cunning and deadly creatures. Most of their lives are spent in battle to maintain their apex position in the food-chain, and few dare to trifle with their perfected and long-established ability to kill. This series travels to three different African environments to reveal the extraordinary predatory behaviour of a variety of iconic animals, including lions, leopards, crocodiles, hippos and buffalo. We also portray the often surprising tactics used by prey species to avoid detection and potentially hazardous confrontations with apex predators.
