This series takes you to look into the eyes of a geisha in Kyoto, hunt with the tribes of Papua, navigate the mighty Mekong River, cross the Australian desert, climb a volcano and dive into the coral forests of Raja Ampat.

A year-long adventure in search of the peoples that inhabit the most remote parts of the Pacific. Daniel Landa, an experienced travel journalist, and his companions, Paul Vidal and Yeray Martin, travel 50,000 kilometres across 12 months, from northern Japan to New Zealand.

The expedition takes them through China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand and the South Sea Islands. They navigate their way through exuberant nature, lost valleys and to paradisaical beaches – but always to connect with the indigenous communities of the Far East and Oceania.
