Mouthing Off

Ever thought about the amazing hole on your face? You can use it to chew, swallow, taste and communicate, yet that barely parts the lips of the mystery of mouths. From hungry hippos, and giant giraffes to smooching seabirds - mother nature’s mouths are used for much more than eating.

We all know the power of a smile; it plays a big role in social dynamics - no better way to express emotion. Far from just a place to park your lipstick, mouths are amazingly diverse in their abilities and uses. Lips can be useful, but the most impactful tools are teeth. There are so many things you can sink your teeth in to and mouths come in all shapes and sizes. Scrape your jaw off the floor, put your tongue away, and smile. There’s no doubt, mouths are marvellous! Time to open wide, let your jaw drop as you feast on the delicious world of mouths.
