A tectonic shift turns a barren landscape into a wild new paradise right in front of our very eyes. For the first time, we witness the birth of an Eden. Life flourishes… for both predator and prey.

A seismic shift diverts a life-giving river into a dry landscape in Botswana, far east of the plentiful Okavango delta. There has been no water here for generations, but now it trickles into this empty land with struggling wildlife characters: lion, elephant, cheetah, and wild dog. They are all hanging by a thread, but their lives are about to change forever. Slowly, the water creates a new Eden. The flat, dry landscape turns into a muddy pool and seasonally flooded grassland. With this new nourishment, life flourishes. Elephant numbers rise to thousands. The largest buffalo herds on the planet form. But where there is prey, there will be predators. Life must be balanced.

The once struggling lion population explodes to a record-breaking 50-strong pride. The king of predators prowls the now-fertile Savannah to the detriment of the local cheetah and wild dog populations who cling to their existence. But has the mighty lion pride gotten too big for its own good?

The regal lions develop a speciality for taking down enormous buffaloes and elephants. There’s no longer space for everyone at the table, and pride leadership hangs in the balance. The pride slowly splits into smaller groups. Conflict is imminent - who will rule the best part of this land?
