Shannon is in charge of restoring a Victorian mansion that is to be divided into apartments for low-income families. Many volunteers from the town, including her retired dad, have come to help. Renovations are going well until the cranky head of the local bank is found dead. It seems nearly everyone involved in the project had a reason to hate the banker.
