In an exhibition entitled ‘Vermeer and Music: The Art of Love and Leisure’, The National Gallery has chosen to focus on Vermeer’s relationship with music. It is one of the most popular themes of Dutch painting and reveals an enormous amount about this most fascinating of artists.

Filmed in London, New York, Washington DC, Amsterdam, the Hague and Delft the film also guides us through Vermeer’s entire life story.
