Flower & Flour

Flower and Flour is a delightful buddy-comedy about a little girl who lives above her parents’ restaurant in the city with her cat. Flour the cat started out as nothing more than a bag of flour in the storage room of the restaurant before Flower the girl brought him to life with her imagination. Now Flour the cat is a well known and much-loved member of the family and the community.

Each episode follows the adventures of Flower and Flour as they find humor and camaraderie in every sticky situation they encounter while exploring the world waiting on their doorstep. Together they’ll work out what it means to be a true friend and a meaningful part of the community. Emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, kindness, and understanding, the core of this show is about friendship and finding humour and heart in every situation, reminding us that the best moments are always the shared ones.

The purpose of this show is to reflect and celebrate the real world. Flower and her friends are city kids whose “backyard” consists of laneways full of beautiful graphic art and a pedestrian plaza, with its shops, tree, and community garden. Flower’s parents are busy and hardworking, and that’s okay, because while they juggle work and family, Flower is given the freedom to explore her community and find her place in it.

Flower and Flour will show the audience that no matter how different they are from their friends and neighbours, or how busy the world around them can be, there is always time and there is always space for everyone. Even a little girl with a big imagination and her squishy cat full of flour.
