From the very beginning, the natural world has displayed a spectacular and thrilling diversity of colour, form and behaviour.

In this series we take a journey through the 'History of Life on Earth' starting when the seas were full of life, to when the first land masses emerged and animals took their fist steps on dry land. To the rise of the giants when the dinosaurs ruled the land to mammals that followed and took over leading to the stunning diversity of animals we enjoy today and the start of our dramatic story on Earth.
