K-POP Academy

K-Pop Academy is a docu-dance competition format, which follows talented, young wanna-be K-Pop stars as they strive to fulfil their dreams. Young hopefuls are selected and put through their paces in an intense studio-based bootcamp, learning the latest moves from internationally renowned K-Pop tutors.

Their skills are tested in dance battles and music videos, culminating in a final showdown of Group performances in front of a panel of guest judges.

The KPA kids are cast from diverse backgrounds, but they all share a love of dancing, singing and aspirations of becoming the next generation of K-Pop Idols. Some have years of formal dance training behind them, but plenty more have taught themselves K-Pop moves through watching online videos.

This series captures the highlights of their journey and the transformation of young dancers and singers into polished, performance-ready K-Pop groups. They’re encouraged to work together, while also creating their own individual style. At the heart of this series is authentic talent, hard work and friendship.
