Expedition Africa

PLAY

Argentinian brothers Joaquin and Julian Azulay embark on a lifetime journey, traveling from Spain to South Africa in a converted 1985 Mercedes Unimog, exploring Africa's reality, connecting with locals, and surfing.

Their journey will take them through a number of exotic countries rich in culture and wildlife but sometimes fraught with danger. The scars left by colonialism, civil war, political instability and exploitation of resources make the continent one of the most intense in the world. Roads are poorly maintained and sometimes non-existent. Africa will set the rules.

The brothers travel off the beaten track, exploring remote communities rarely visited by travellers, surfing solitary waves and sampling the local cuisine in each of the countries they travel through. They are entirely dependent on their travelling home, but problems are never far away. Mechanical breakdowns and punctures threaten to bring a premature end to the adventure as they thread their way slowly down the African coastline.
