Epic Oceans

Our oceans are a vast and wonderous place, but the least explored part of our planet. For a civilization that seeks to know everything, we remain ignorant of the modern challenges hidden beneath the waves. Our seas are stressed because of planetary warming, and every creature must deal with this in their own unique way.

So what lurks beneath? And how does each denizen cope with this modern challenge? When 2 or 3 degrees make a world of difference, we have little idea of the epic dramas playing out in the deep. Everything from mudskippers to a Great white sharks have to change their habits to survive.

This series comprises of 3 single hours which cover Coastlines, Shallow Reef and Open Ocean. It is a celebration of the ingenuity of ocean creatures, both big and small, acknowledging the challenges of an ever warming planet. Some species struggle, but others rally for survival, creating dramatic stories for viewers to follow.
