Blood River Crossing

PLAY

Ride shotgun with ZuluEcho545 and FoxtrotOne, a zebra mother and son, as they run the gauntlet in the most brutal migration on the planet.

Born at the start of the long dry season in northern Tanzania, East Africa, FoxtrotOne, at just one hour old, joins his mother ZuluEcho545 and a herd of zebra to head north across the border to the promised land.  The ‘Black Army’, a mass movement of one and half million wildebeest who are following the rains north in their annual migration, soon joins them.  But this army must fight its way north through crocodile-infested rivers and predatory offensives in a brutal battle.

In addition to some of the most spectacular footage of the Great Migration ever filmed, remote camera drones also follow the progress of ZuluEcho545 and her son on their journey north.  Top-down aerial views of the spectacular river crossings, remote-controlled boats getting closer to the action than any cameraman would dare and remote camera ‘landmines’ under the feet of the stampeding army open a window on the migration like it has never been seen before.
