Adapt To Survive

Delve into the mysterious world of animals pitted against life or death. Join us on a journey and discover the wild world’s secret survival strategies that allows life to perpetuate in the most vicious environments of our planet.

Ep1: Migrations - In a world governed by the ebb and flow of the seasons, animals need a strategy to survive. Where some wait out the harder times, others need to hit the road in search of greener pastures. The great wildebeest migrations see millions of beasts moving in unison. Witness a true feat of nature as billions of fish are pursued by millions of predators as they make their way up the coast. Bear witness to some of the greatest migrations on Earth.

Ep2: Opportunists - When it comes to finding food in the wild desperate times lead to desperate measures. When resources are sparse, it becomes every beast for themselves and stealing a meal is far easier than wasting energy pursuing one. This episode reveals how even the most skilled and ferocious hunters can stoop to common thievery when times are tough. Lions, jackals, hyenas, sharks and birds of prey are no stranger to the path of least resistance, and there are no fussy eaters in these parts – the only objective is securing their next meal.

Ep3: Coalitions - In the perpetual fight for dominance it’s never wise to keep your enemies too close – something both lions and cheetahs know all too well. In many social animal groups, evicted males team up to form a single formidable force that can overthrow the alpha. These powerhouses are better known as male coalitions. The demise of a family’s dominant male leaves a gap for a new coalition to take over - in this episode we follow these male gangs on their journey to dominance and establishing new territories and mating rights.
