Monet: Painting Time enters the visionary world of one of the most celebrated artists in history, exploring the passion, experimentation and quiet radicalism behind some of his greatest works. From the shifting façades of Rouen Cathedral to the immersive beauty of the Water Lilies, Monet sought continually to capture the ungraspable: atmosphere, sensation and the passing of time itself.
The film accompanies the major Monet: Painting Time exhibition, opening at the Orangerie in Paris from 30 September 2026 to 27 January 2027 before travelling to Tate Modern, London from 25 February to 27 June 2027, where it will become Tate Modern’s first exhibition devoted solely to Claude Monet.
