Creature Co-operation

In the wild, the ability to work together can mean the difference between life and death, all in the name of creature co-operation!

In the wild, the ability to work together can mean the difference between life and death. While co-operation is key to survival, many species that are fans of group dynamics prefer to stick to their own kind. The familiarity of family and friends can have its advantages, for both predators and prey.

Finding friends to do favours isn’t confined to the animal kingdom sometimes a trade deal can cross the border and connect two different life forms. All over the planet, trees and other plants provide back drops for dramas to unfold. They provide shelter and food for insects, reptiles, birds and mammals. To continue their legacy, trees need to reproduce and while some rely on the wind or insects, others need to attract much bigger seed dispersal agents. All in the name of creature co-operation!
