There are few places on the planet more magical than the forest. To spend a day here, from dawn to dusk, is nature’s way of offering a spa, a bath in nature. There’s enchantment at every turn.
At dawn, bears move from their den for a day’s adventures, as the dawn chorus rings out through the trees. Fox cubs play and ants gather to welcome the sun. Hummingbirds, like forest sprites, dash from flower to flower, and fairy like bees and butterflies dance in the sun. It’s only later in the day, and the forest cools down, that deer risk leaving the safe cover of the trees to graze in glades.
As twilight descends, an owl flutters on silent wings. But it’s when the light goes out that the most enchanting side of the forest is revealed. Time to watch a firework display curtesy of fireflies. With their box of chemical tricks, they are the real magicians of the enchanted forest.
