Mummies Alive reveals the incredible stories behind the world’s most enigmatic mummies. We reopen six ancient cold cases, spanning five thousand years of human history from Neolithic Europe to the American Wild West.

With contributions from leading experts in history, bio-archaeology and forensic science, we search for clues that reveal details about their lives, the times in which they lived and how they died. As each investigation unfolds, the mummies come to life through exquisite animation using the latest in motion capture technology to achieve a hyper-real look and feel. Colour returns to their sunken cheeks, lungs fill with fresh air, and their ancient eyes open to stare into the camera.
